For optimal results, follow these steps on a bare nail: Apply a thin layer of Break Fix over the nail break, concentrating between the crack. Using tweezers or a toothpick, gently press the broken nail together to help the edges bond as the formula dries. Allow to dry completely. Apply a second thin coat, and a third if needed. Allow a complete drying time of approximately 3 minutes between coats.
Precautions: Keep from heat or flame.

Essie Break Fix is great for small nail cracks and peeling. It dries fast, feels light, and is easy to apply. Works best with 2–3 coats for better hold. It's a good temporary fix, though bigger breaks may need reapplying.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I've used the Essie Break Fix lLquid nail polish patch on a few separate nail breaks now, and it genuinely saved me every time. It holds small to moderate cracks together for a few solid days - long enough for the nail to grow out instead of forcing me to cut everything short. For me, that's huge because when a nail breaks, I usually end up picking it down to nothing. This stops that spiral completely and actually let my nails recover. It works especially well on those annoying edge cracks and the little layered splits that always snag on things. The tiny brush makes it easy to target just the break, and it dries fast with a smooth, shiny finish. No stickiness, no rough texture, and it disappears under polish.
