Very Cute Sheer Glitters
The packaging was a cute and ambitious idea that doesn't work quite as well in execution than concept. Or maybe I got unlucky because the button you push down to slide out the palette was already slightly folded back when I first unboxed it. I think if they used plastic instead of paper/cardboard, it would have worked out better. That being said, the shadows themselves are great. I was first drawn towards Cassie, but now I use Rue and Lexi just as often. They're the perfect shimmer for my preference. The glitterpucks are a tad too much for my taste, but these are smaller glitter grains which I like better.
Shocked how mid this palette is
I am a big fan of Donni Davy and half magic. I have not previously tried the powder eyeshadow formula, but have tried the glitter puck, liquid eyeshadow, and eyeliner. This eyeshadow formula is dry, low impact, and shockingly average especially for the price. the palette is difficult to open, you have to push down on a large button in the cardboard sleeve and slide the palette out. it looks awkward, there is no mirror which is for recycling purposes. The palette is long and awkward to hold when open. there are 6 shades and at MSRP, that is ten dollars a pan. while I understand this product is unique in a big store like Ulta, this pales in comparison to other colourful eyeshadow brands sold at the very same store. even a $12 Colourpop palette has more wow factor than this Half Magic palette. Wow. Just shocked.
Iconic
Love this palette! The shades are so pretty and very shimmery, but they do have color payoff as well. Looks amazing in the sun and in low light too. Lasts all day and does not crease. Very happy with these eyeshadows! I wish the packaging were a little sturdier, but really no big deal.
