 Even Clearer Therapeutic Sulfur Mask

I have rosacea and perioral dermatitis. When the PD flares up it could last for months and it could be anywhere from one small cluster of breakouts to numerous clusters all around my mouth and nose. My dermatologist recommended sulfur and azelaic acid. I tried a bar of sulfur soap that didn't do much besides smell really bad. Next I tried a sulfur ointment. It helped clear the breakouts partially but not enough to deal with the smell. I found this sulfur mask searching the ulta app and had to try it since it is the maximum sulfur percentage you can get. It's more expensive than the ointment I was using, but it's also more than twice the amount so it's definitely worth it to me. The smell of this mask is almost nonexistent when compared to the ointment I was using. I'm not hit with the terrible sulfur smell as soon as I open it and I only occasionally get a whiff of sulfur later in the day after using it. I also use Farmacy serum and moisturizer so I'm not sure if the natural honey smell of those lessens the sulfur intensity. Using this mask every other day, leaving it on about 10-15 minutes, my PD has cleared up completely. As long as it's clear, 2-3 times a week is usually enough. If i notice a breakout or it seems like the PD is starting to flare, I increase the usage and it clears back up. It clears my breakouts, reduces oil, my face feels so clean and soft after using, and the sulfur smell is the most tolerable out of any sulfur products I've used. My face is also very sensitive and it doesn't take much for my rosacea to flare up. This mask doesn't irritate my face at all and has cleared the rosacea breakouts all over my cheeks. This mask is amazing. I've bought it twice so far and will continue to do so.

This is what I reach for if I have a large spot that has no head. It works great every time.

The Peter Thomas Roth Therapeutic Sulfur Mask has honestly become one of my favorite masks for when my skin is breaking out or feeling congested. It does have that strong sulfur smell, but I don't really mind it because I can actually see a difference after using it. It helps calm active breakouts, reduce excess oil, and makes my skin feel much cleaner and smoother without leaving it feeling overly stripped. I also love that it works well as a spot treatment when I don't want to apply it all over my face. I have been using this on breakouts and have been really happy with the results. It helps dry out the spots and my skin feels less oily after, without making it feel dry or stripped.
