I bought this magnesium milk barrier reset jelly mist a few mobths back because using a retinoid had really inflamed my face and made it red. An influencer I trust had mentioned this on her Instagram, so i bought it at Ulta. It really worked; I could hardly believe it. My face was not red and my skin felt back to normal. I used it twice a day until I ran out. Love the look of the jelly almost combining with whatever else is in there. One caveat: The sprayer on this sprays a wide and amazingly fine mist, which I love, BUT the droplets in the mist are so tiny that I felt like they were getting in my eyes and nose and mouth. So i needed to close my eyes, hold my breath, spray it a few times on my face and then quickly turn away so as not to inhale any of the lingering mist. I realize this may sound offputting, but i was more than willing to do it, because this is such a magical product. Oh, i also bought a little travel size of their honey face moisturizer—had just the faintest touch of a honey smell, but not artificial and very faint. I thought it was fantastic as well.
Ineffective Packaging
Feels calming and hydrating on skin but no noticable impacts as far as the visual appearance of skin… unfortunately, I was able to use this product for approimately 2-3 days before the bottle stopped working. It seems like the product thickens and then clogs the spray channel?? I moved it to a different bottle but still doesn't spray well.
Unintended benefits
I woke up in the middle of the nught covered with hives. Once they dissipated, the skin on my chest and neck were still ANGRY and uncomfortable. This worked remarkably well at calming down the inflammation and discomfort. Not the intended use, but I will swear by it for my MCAS friends.
Used item
I received used tester instead of new item. Awful customer service. Issue was not resolved!
Favorite brand horrible product
Even the best brands make mistakes, and that is definitely the case here. The issue isnt the sprayer at all, its the fact that the consistency of the gel is not compatible with a sprayer meant for liquids. Spray on your hand then put on your face. Not buying again for sure
