Good but only the middle is the magnet
This works great if you only have a few pins you want to keep on the counter etc, the top surface is only magnetic in the center so you will have to stack the pins ontop of one another, it still holds them up to 2 or 3 deep so you can fit about 15 (depending on size) before they start to fall off. Thankful I got this half off. Definitely not worth full price as only half of the plate is magnetic. Forgot trying to use the whole thing up to the sides, only a small magnet in the middle of it.

This works great if you only have a few pins you want to keep on the counter etc, the top surface is only magnetic in the center so you will have to stack the pins ontop of one another, it still holds them up to 2 or 3 deep so you can fit about 15 (depending on size) before they start to fall off. If you have different sizes and shapes of pins you want to keep separate I'd suggest buying multiple of these to keep them separate since you can't use the whole surface. If you have a lot of hair or a lot of pins you may be better off making your own or using little shot glasses etc, I may go back to that myself as I just have to many and I'm limited in space lol. But if you only have a few you use daily then this would be perfect for keeping them at hand. As of now the description does not disclose that the whole surface area does not hold pins, the picture shows pins only in the middle but it's fair to assume this is for a more atheistic look and pleasing picture. hopefully this will be updated so no one is disappointed as this could be make or break for some. Bottom line it's a good product for some just needs a description update

This magnetic Bobby pin holder is SUPER strong! It took awhile to get the pins to lay the same way as in the photo (I think the magnet makes the pins want to point different directions), but my pins aren't going anywhere!
