Lovely scent, consistency a bit thick and greasy
The term "gel" is a bit misleading. To me, a gel is something with a thin watery consistency, similar to something you'd get from an aloe vera leaf. This product is actually more like a balm - think makeup remover balm, like banila or clinique Take the Day Off, except that when you rub it on, it feels like a light grease. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to actually sink into my skin, to where there is a lubricated feel left. It does leave a greasy finish; the kind that makes me concerned that I would leave residue on my clothes or anything my skin touched. Also, since it is a bright orange color, I'd be very careful about it leaving stains on my clothes (maybe wear an orange swimsuit??). Oddly enough, it says it is water resistant (80 minutes), but water does not bead on the skin like other water resistant sunscreens I use. The scent also gets much fainter after being wet, so that suggests that it's coming off in the water. Hopefully, I'm wrong. Speaking of the scent, it smells lovely! I have to admit that's why I bought it in the first place :) It smells like orange, cinnamon and cloves, but it's not overpowering. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and also like the concept of the whole Vacation suncare collection. It's a fun thing to explore if you live in a hot, sunny location and need to wear sunscreen all the time. It might as well be a fun beauty routine!

I have not used this yet. But I was a huge fan of Ban de Soleil (spelling?) so I am anxiously looking forward to using at the beach this summer!

I used to love the original orange gelee sunscreen, but it was only SPF 8. I am so glad that someone made a version with a higher SPF.

It was great, smelled good, although during event when first put on. Allowed me not to burn. Gave me good skin tone and I stayed hydrated.
