One of the best silicone products I've tried
If you've ever used silicone for scars before, you know it WORKS. However, most of the non-patch options out there are roll-on applicators, which i find difficult to use. This tube allows you to squeeze out exactly how much product you want. The product itself is also much less sticky and dries down faster than other silicone products I've used. After two weeks of daily use on a mole removal scar that I've had for 9 months, the scar is visibly less red around its edges. The scar has also been a bit itchy as its healed, and lotion or vaseline never calmed that itch for me. Silicone does the trick, though! This product works the best with consistent use over a long period of time, but after just 2 weeks of use i wanted to write this review to say this purchase is definitely worth it.
Works well if reapplied regularly
I was honestly surprised by how well this scar healing product worked. After just one full day of using it, I saw a huge difference to my scar as it looked noticeably less red and much more healed than it normally would with anything else I've tried. The only downside is that you really have to keep reapplying it to get fast results. I stayed consistent throughout the day and reapplied frequently, and that's when I saw the biggest improvement. If you're willing to put in that effort, it works incredibly well.
so I just got this that is why it's only 3 stars!
this is a product that needs to be used for a period of time from my understanding. the texture is exactly what it says, it's in the name. this is a clear slick silicone gel. I was under the impression it may be thicker and would fill in the scars a bit but no. that was my bad in misunderstanding. my issue is I have a scar by my eye that makes putting on eyeliner difficult because the scar is deep enough that the eyeliner dips into the scar and creates a weird dip in my eyeliner and causes me to never have a truly straight line. I attached pics so you can see the issue. I did apply it and waited 5 min to see if it was dry enough and it was not and the eyeliner just didn't stick obviously because it glided over the gel. it's for sure for moisturizing and not thick enough to fill in anything which stinks but I will use this for a month and come back and update to see if maybe it could even the scar out a bit by hydrating the skin and doing what it says it can do. but if your looking for something to fill in this isn't it. just wanted to give people a heads up at what it's not (in case someone thought like me). so I will come back with an update to see how this does after a month!
