I love osea and had high hopes after reading reviews…

I hate to be the first review that is rating this as not great, especially becsuse osea is an amazing brand and I have tried and loved more than half if their products overall…but for the sake of people who might feel like I do and don't like the items in this set, I gotta say something. To me, the ...products all share the same scent. The scent is cheap orange blossom + citronella essential oils and olive oil mixed together. Now I am a huge citrus fan which is why I adore Osea's other products, the scents are so beautiful and smell like a fresh peeled orange/lemon. If you like citrus but haven't smelled specifically "orange blossum", please know it is very far removed from the smell of a fresh orange, it is literally a flower and it has an uninviting, stale and very strange floral scent. On top of that, unless you love inhaling the scent of insect repellent, you will most likely not enjoy the way the products in this set also smell like citronella. The scent of these is pungent upon opening and when they dry down on my skin/pillow, the scent remains, though it smells even more stale, with a hint of warmth. I am a big essential oil user and love earthy, citrus, and fruity smells, sometimes floral. I love using natural products, but this set was a huge turn off for me personally. It is in a beautiful bag and the packaging of the products is luxurious as always with this brand, but I am so bothered by the smell that I have to either return this or give it away, and it cost quite a lot to not use, so my bf may buy it off me because he actually enjoys the scents!! They do smell slightly less unpleasant on his skin, so perhaps it's my sensitivity to the scents in their bottles and also my body chemistry doesn't work with them. I mostly wish I did not risk having to return this because I hate the thought that since this was opened and tested, upon returning they must "damage" the set which means throwing it in the trash (I used to work for Ulta). I wish I went to the store and smelled the full size products before buying this so it wouldn't risk getting thrown in the trash. I 100% recommend stopping in store for the tester products to see if these scents apeal to you before pulling the trigger to purchase them. I would have given this 2 stars, but since my bf liked the smell and so many other people appear to, I couldn't do osea like that. Love the brand and highly suggest everything else they make!!!
