[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Here's the truth first, because that's what I would want someone to tell me. This cream is too rich for daytime wear on my skin, and I say that as someone who throughly enjoys a proper nourishing formula. By morning, my skin feels soft, yes...; but once I start my day and put on makeup, especially without a primer, I can see my pores much more than I'd like, particularly around my nose. It's not subtle. The finish of my foundation changes, and not in a flattering way. What really stood out to me is how it reacts to real life; not just a mirror at home. The moment I step out of an air-conditioned car into the heat, or move between cool and warm environments, my pores seem to open right up. Suddenly, the makeup I took time to apply looks uneven, almost like it's settling into places it shouldn't. For women my age who want a smoother, more refined look in natural light, this matters. Now, in fairness, this cream tells a completely different story at night. The texture is absolutely beautiful. It's soft, silky, and gives you time to work it into the skin properly, massaging the skincare in. This one allows for that; 10 seconds, 20 seconds, however long you like. It doesn't disappear too quickly, and it feels luxurious in a very classic, old-school way. The kind of cream you'd expect to see on a vanity next to a good perfume and a proper mirror. When I use it in the evening, my skin feels comforted. Not greasy, not heavy; just cared for. By morning, there's a softness that I do appreciate. It's the kind of result that makes you feel like you've done something good for your skin while you slept. But I do think this is where the line needs to be drawn. This is not, in my opinion, a daytime cream (contrary to the directions), at least not for mature skin that is also wearing foundation and going in and out of different temperatures throughout the day. If I could offer a bit of guidance to other women, especially those of us over 50 who still enjoy our makeup and want it to sit beautifully: keep this for the evening. Let it be part of your nighttime ritual when your skin can fully receive it without interruption. And if you do choose to use it during the day, I would strongly suggest a smoothing primer and a lighter hand, especially around the nose and any area where pores are more visible. There is a lovely product here. You can feel the intention in the texture, in the way it moves, in the way it encourages you to slow down and take care of your skin. But it performs best when it's used with a little wisdom. I've always believed beauty isn't about using more; it's about using things the right way, at the right time. And this one, for me, belongs in the evening, when everything is softer, quieter, and a little more forgiving.
