Smells so good, but middle of the road performance

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I have been spending some time with this fragrance for a few days now and I do love me some Acqua Di Gio since I was a teenager. I currently own Parfum, Profundo, and the OG EdT. This new release, EdP Intense is good but, I don't find it to ...be great. It's a pleasant scent with little sillage and so-so performance. Intense might be a stretch. Let's start with the scent, its is a fun modern fresh fruity woody marine scent. It starts off with a pleasant apple note paired alongside that classic AdG backbone. There's a similarity to Y EdT. Mainly the apple and lightness of it. During the dry down you get more of that salty marine note riding on top of that sage. In terms of age range and versatility, AdG EdP intense fits well into males from 13-50 and would make an easy scent to wear to school, office, dinner, or night out. The biggest issue with this for me is its performance. It projects nicely within the first hour. After that it settles into a skin scent and that's where it stays for upto 5-6 hrs. Even on clothes I didn't get much more from it. Considering it's an Eau de Parfum I expected slightly better performance. Especially with base notes of wood and amber which are generally pretty long lasting. Keep in mind that this amber wood base stays fresh feeling. If you're looking for something that flies under the radar, inoffensive, but easy to like, this might be what you want to get. This scent is probably best for most of the year (excelling during spring) except for the dead of winter. In warmer climates it's probably a year-rounder. I think that the other versions of AdG are better values. I don't find this EdP Intense compelling enough for me to choose it over other AdG flankers. The bottle is nice though. Similar to the Parfum bottle with a black top gradient to a clear bottom half. Except the intense is glossy instead of a matte finish like the Parfum has. If the ADG line were office dwellers, EdP intense is the guy who barely speaks to anyone, puts out good work, is happy to not be a leader or try to get promoted. Him and YSL's Y are brothers about 1-2 years apart in age.
