I keep my shampoo and conditioner bars in it in my shower. I place the lid on so water doesn't get in. I have not seen anything bad forming on the bars. I've had that happen with a different brand that went bad when kept in the shower. It's nice to be able to keep it in the shower. Great for travel too.
