Directions: Burn on a flat, stable, protected, heat-resistant surface. When lighting for the first time, burn until the pool of melted wax reaches the edge of the glass. To prevent overheating and to preserve the fragrance, do not burn for more than 2-3 hours. Avoid touching glass when lit. Keep a burning candle away from drafts, vents, fans, and air currents. Once extinguished, allow wax to fully harden and trim wick to ¼” before relighting. Never extinguish a burning candle with water. If wick becomes off-center when burning, extinguish flame and carefully re-center wick while wax is still soft with an appropriate candle care tool or tweezers. Keep wick trimmings and foreign debris out of wax. Discontinue burning when ½” of wax remains or glass may shatter.

I absolutely love love this scent. It's subtle but rich and seasonless. This might be a fluke, but mine burned very unevenly. Received this candle in the advent calendar set. It is very surprising. It does smell some ashy when unlit, but after lighting it, I don't get that much sharpness/harshness from it, and it blends really well with other scents, like the bitter cherry, to add some woodsy/smokiness that smells refined. This one also has a really good throw.
