Decently hydrating, packaging could use some work
I tested the hot cocoa shade, which shows up on my lips as sort of a brownish-pinky nude. It's a little bit buildable, but mostly it dries down to a very sheer hue. i love this color melon sorbet that i purchased. The outer packaging is beautiful. However, thats where it ends. The inner stick has a sponge tip applicator that came off when i tried to apply it. I dont know if i was being heavy handed or what, but i have since purchased lip gloss applicator sticks and that is how i will be applying for now on. Such a shame that the sponge tip isnt strong enough to withstand a regular application. That is why i did not recommend this to a friend and also why i gave it three stars instead of five. I love Estee Lauder products, i just wish they would make the sponge tip on this lip gloss sturdier.

I've bought this twice due to broken applicators. Super annoying for the price you pay.. I've only gotten a few uses, such a pretty soft lip oil. Very lightweight and extra soft juicy lips. Issue is I still have half the tube left with no idea how the heck I'm going to get the rest of it out?! I shoudn't have to purchase another lip applicator to fit inside. What a waste and frustrating asl. Estée Lauder I love your products, but please work on this applicator!!!

I tried this on National Lipstick Day for 30% off. I got Apricot Nectar which is pretty much colored just like it sounds. A coral. It's a great light layer of color and conditioning on it's own. However, it doesn't go on evenly. But I put it on my top and bottom lips, then smudge together and it works. I have worn it over a light coral lip liner, or just alone to keep my lips soft. Keeping them soft is very important to me. I don't like them dry. This helps, however I think I like Futurist HydraPump Lipbalm better, in Bloom Cocoon which is such a fun summer (light) shade that can stand alone if you don't like much color, or go over lipsticks for gloss and conditioning. I like the Bloom Cocoon so much, when they recommended it in the store, I have bought 1 for my daughter who doesn't do makeup, and an extra for me to keep in my purse.

Normally I like the lip glosses but this one did not last. I applied in the morning before work and it would be gone before lunchtime. The finally straw in this is the applicator's felt tip broke off in the tube. I've used it on and off for a month so there's plenty left. Whole tube of product that can't be accessed or applied. The remainder applicator is hard plastic, so it doesn't have anything to grip the gloss.
