Great formula ruined by the scent
The formula of this body wash is pretty good, especially for the price. It lathers nicely and cleans without stripping my skin. However, it is absolutely ruined by the fragrance. I have no experience with the previous vanilla cedar scent, but the coco villa scent is atrocious. It smells like coconut sunscreen being applied in a public pool locker room - I have no idea what they did to make this smell so strongly of chlorine, but that overpowers everything else and makes me want to gag because it's intensified by shower steam. I'm unsure if I will be able to finish this sonce it's so unpleasant to use due to the scent.
A standout
Finally tried the Billie bodywash (tidal rose) and was worried it would be too harsh (sometimes sea salt is too sharp) but it's fantastic! The sea salt is finely ground, the gel is thicker and easy to spread and lather, it's effectively exfoliating with glycolic + sea salt but not drying, rough or anything. I love it! I needed something to replace Frank Body 's clearing/mandarin cedar body wash since it's left Ulta:( This has a strong floral scent but that fresh, showery-ocean smell too. It good! Very good for price especially on sale. Huge bottle. Easy to squeeze.

I decided to forget oil formulas and tried this due to the price, and now I'm hooked. It spreads and suds up wonderfully, is super gentle, and leaves my skin much less dry than any other body wash or soap. I love it, and the value per oz is unbeatable. The two critiques I have are the smell and the nozzle. The smell is somewhat artifical and definitely sweet and a bit artificial. But the scent isn't super strong and seems to disappear after only a few minutes post-shower so I tolerate that for an otherwise great product. Second issue: the nozzle. It's a huge bottle, and when you open the cap, its nearly impossible to get a small, measured amount out--it just starts flowing out if the bottle. I try to be very careful and try to just drip a little bit out each time so it doesnt pour out an unecessary and huge amount. Given it's inexpensive and a large bottle it's not awful, but my first bottle ran out pretty fast while I got the hang of it. A better dispensing mechanism would perfect the product. Still an excellent choice and value.

Feels great and gentle on my sensitive skin and does not have an overpowering smell. Coco vanilla has a very warm and soothing scent all while feeling very clean :)
