The wand has ridges and it exfoliates as you place it on your lips. It feels like a scrub, but not abrasive. I left it on for 5 min and wiped it off and my lips felt soft and supple.

I used the Buxom Lip Strip Enzyme Lip Treatment as directed a couple of times a week for two weeks. I didn't notice any dramatic changes, but it was nice to use before applying lipstick. My lips felt a little smoother afterward, which helped lipstick go on more evenly. The treatment doesn't really have a taste, and I didn't notice any sensation while it was on my lips for the recommended amount of time. One thing I did notice was that if I only wiped it off instead of thoroughly washing it off, my lips would start to feel a little tingly a few minutes later, even when I thought I had removed it all. Overall, it's a pleasant lip treatment and works well for a little smoothing before lipstick, but I didn't see a significant enough difference after two weeks to consider it a must-have.

I really enjoyed BUXOM's Lip Strip Enzyme Exfoliator! The applicator makes it easy to gently scrub away dry, flaky skin, and my lips felt noticeably softer and smoother afterward. This product delivers on it's promises. The taste is a bit sour as it's made from pineapple & papaya enzymes, but it's not so awful to make it unappealing. The silicone applicator helps with the exfoliation as well. I scrubbed it on my lips, let sit for 30 seconds and wiped it off before bedtime. I woke up with a silky smooth canvas for my lipstick and or gloss. The price tag says $24 (a bit high) but I would find that worth it if you are someone who suffers from chronically dry or unsightly looking lips. I feel it is very gentle. There was no burning or untoward reaction to my lips or surrounding skin. It contains hyaluronic acid and rose water to plump the lips up. Very nice, overall.
