Bit of a Learning Curve; Great For Travel

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I've had Urban Decay products as a staple in my makeup routine for over a decade. I also love to keep a lip stain in hand, especially for the summertime when heat and water activities make keeping a lip color all day challenging. I was super... excited to see this brand and this type of product combine to create their new Lip Toy Staining Brush Lip Liner! The price is a competitive price alongside most high end makeup brands. The idea of a liner, fill, and stain won my curiosity because that is amazing! I'm totally for all-in-one products with my busy schedule. The genius behind this lip stain is hands down the differing brush sizes based on the angle you hold it. After trying this product, there is definitely a learning curve. I would practice first to get the hang of it. The brush is stiff enough to hold a nice line shape without smearing or fanning out, but I still had to practice control because of how the movement differed from a pencil. If you use lip brushes, this may be your dream product right away. I will admit, I finally used my fingers, and they did stain! It did do a good job of blending in with no weird streaks. I found this lip stain to be slightly drying after applying. It didn't smudge, but it isn't as long-lasting as it claims to be. Some of the initial color will wear off after several hours, which I find to be typical of a lot of lip stains. Overall, I really like the concept behind this product. Transparency, if I was in a hurry, I would stick to my lip pencil that my muscle memory knows so well. However, I would absolutely pack this product in my bag for a vacation or outings where I'll need a quick reapplication. Lastly, for this type of product, I do recommend finding a shade that compliments your neutral tones in comparison to going for deeper/brighter tones... at least at first!
