Starting with clean lips, use the thin side of the felt tip to line and define. Flip to the wide side to contour and fill in the rest of your lips, then dab to blend. Layer as desired.

Maybe this would work if you're a no makeup type of person. For me, the applicator is just horrible. It gets dried out because it's not great material for the product, and it also gets gross if you have any makeup residue on your lips. It basically dried up after three uses. Okay but the smell!
The stench coming from this product is terrible. I bought the shade rose macaron and like it on my lips but I have to layer lipstick over it to camouflage the smell. It smells like hot breath, bad breath and saliva. Spend the extra cash and buy the NYX version.
SMELLS TERRIBLE AND IT DOESN'T LAST
I have tried multiple lip liner stains from different brands, and by far the elf is the worse one. Initially, on first use it went on beautifully however it has a weird saliva smell and it was super dried. I still have it but I haven't reach for it due to the horrible longevity.
I wish it had more longevity
When Elf announce this product, I was excited to try it out so I bought melted chocolate the color is beautiful however I noticed after using it for less than two weeks and applying it 4 to 5 times the longevity of this product is very short-lived. I noticed that the applicator became dry and stiff.
Love this!
Wear these daily now. They stay all day for me. Can beat it for the price!
