 ReFresh Eye Brightener Broad Spectrum SPF 30

I am a younger looking 60 year old Black woman with chocolate toned skin [think MAC shade NW43], skin type dry/sensitive/mature with an oily t-zone, and I've been looking for an SPF safe for the eye area since forever. You can't use chemical sunscreens because they damage the delicate skin of the eye area. Mineral sun screens are safe, gentle and effective, but there are almost none on the market for the eye area except goop. Mineral sunscreens are usually tinted because zinc is white and leaves you looking ghostly on all but the fairest skin tones. And the ones with tint only include the fairest "nude" shade or shades. So that left me out of this market entirely. I have relied on my super UV protecting oversized sunglasses to protect my eye area. My regular glasses are UV as well. But indirect sunlight from indoors is also a thing. So I continued to search. I knew I wanted high SPF, safe for the eye area, tinted to my shade so there would be no white cast, and hydrating so it wouldn't make any fine lines look worse. This checks off all the boxes! Swoon is the darkest shade and it's my shade. Actually, it's a tiny bit on the bright side, so it tends to exaggerate the look of puffiness a bit. But not enough to make me not wear it. Also I wear glasses. It is hydrating and smooths very nicely. I moisturize first so it doesn't settle into fine lines too much, but if it does, I add a bit of Roc eye balm on top and it smooths the lines right out. Also, these are color corrector shades, not concealer shades, which is brilliant. Mineral sunscreen is so whitening that the extra pink or peach in the undertone really balances that out better and gives a color correcting effect which is much more natural looking. Which I very much need because I tend to have very dark circles. (Color correctors are my new staple. I can leave the house with a light dab of color corrector in my perfect shade and I look rested without a full face of makeup! Back in the day I relied on heavy spackle concealers, but mature skin can't tolerate heavy formulas. Concealer formulas really have evolved!) So the fact this comes as a color corrector and not a concealer means I'm one and done and don't really need a second product to cover dark circles, which is really nice for mature skin. Less is always more for us! The metal ball tip is nice for depuffing, but I don't really rely on it to apply. I squeeze a dollop on the back of my hand and apply with my fingertip. I don't want to apply too much or too little. My one note is that it needs to come in more shades! This is a nice range. There are a lot of chocolate ladies who will be able to protect their delicate eye area from the sun for the first time ever - thank you! I'm really hoping we get a few more shades though. I could use this a half shade darker, keep the peachy orange undertone it's absolutely perfect, which would be closer to my true shade and kinder to my puffy eyes. This product gets a lot right, it's basically one of a kind on the market, and if you need SPF for your eyes and you're melanated at all, this is the one. It's more than I would want to pay for this product and the darkest shade is a hair too bright for me, so one star off for that.

love the applicator and definitely covers my under eye well, although did start to crease. i will continue to use but just have to apply powder for the creasing. cant see myself wearing it without powder which is kinda a bummer

I didn't really have high hopes for this product because I have used many like it with disappointing results, however the RMS is actually a good product. It helped cover the hollows of my eyes nicely. My only complaint is the smell is a little off putting.

I love this! It's a skin care eye cream and has an interesting consistency, blends wonderful and isn't too thick but covers. Not cakey or drying.

Love this, the texture glides on but is not silky and doesnt settle into creases too bad, almost has a water consistency, my under eyes feel hydrated. Im very hard to please with anything for the under eyes, so im pleasantly surprised.
