New formula is awful

I have loved the Shea lip balm for many years but the new formula is just AWFUL. The scent is so off-putting and it is no longer a creamy texture. It does not moisturize nearly as well as the old formula. I'm sad to have to find a new brand of lip balm.
Why change a perfect item?

I have been using this lip balm for years and it has been perfect, perfectly moisturizing with a beautiful scent. I recently ran out and bought a replacement but it was so inadequate compared to the original that I thought I got a dupe! The pleasant smell is gone and now it smells of a lipstick that's past it's expiry date and the whole packaging looks cheap. I am disinclined to use it on my lips. Why change something that's already perfect?

I usually buy these by the dozen. The new formula is awful. It now has a terrible smell and harder texture, making it tougher to apply. The bad smell alone will make me look for alternatives.

I LOVEEE this lip balm. it's incredibly nourishing and used to keep my lips feeling deeply moisturized. It quickly became one of the best formulas I've ever tried. However, after I recommended it to a friend and trying the new formula myself, I noticed the formula seems to have changed. I was honestly surprised, as it doesn't feel as rich and effective as it did before. I still like the product and it does provide hydration, but it's not quite as nourishing as it used to be. I truly hope the original formula comes back, because it was exceptional. Despite the change, I would still recommend it, just with the note that it doesn't perform quite as well as it once did.
