• Prepare the hair. Begin with clean, completely dry, detangled hair and apply heat protectant if desired. Select the lowest recommended temperature for your hair type.
• Section for control. Divide hair into manageable sections and clip away the hair not being styled. Use smaller sections for very long, thick, curly, coily, or high-density hair.
• Smooth in one continuous motion. Place a section between the plates near the roots, close gently with light, even pressure, and glide steadily toward the ends.
• Finish and cool. Continue section by section, avoiding repeated passes or holding the styler in one place. Let hair cool completely before brushing or adding finishing products.
• Pro Tip: Start with the lowest effective temperature and increase only when needed. Match section size to your density—the plates are wide, but smaller, clean sections can create a smoother result on very thick, curly, or coily hair.
