It took me 3 times to find my perfect shade in this foundation. The previous formula was definitely superior to this new formula. It made my skin look perfectly smooth. I read all the bad reviews of the new formula but decided to try it anyways. As a 49 year old woman who is in perimenopause, my skin has changed to more noticeable pores and fine lines on my forehead. I find that this new formula does cake and settles into my pores and fine lines. It makes me look older & nobody wants that! I've tried different moisturizers to make this foundation work. If I use a lighter moisturizer, my skin looks very dry & the foundation doesn't go on smoothly. If I use a heavier moisturizer, this foundation goes on smoother, but my face ends up looking too shiny & the foundation slides off. I used almost the whole bottle because I didn't want to throw my money away. Also, my mom who's 79 years young can no longer use this new formula after over 20 years of using this product. We both switched to the well known dermatologist created cosmetics brand foundation that makes our skin flawless. Again, I think this foundation would work on younger ladies, maybe under 40. Just look at all the models showing the different shades. They look 30 years old or younger. No older models are shown because it cakes.

This foundation is really everything. The coverage is amazing. The matte look is so satisfying and didn't have to keep applying powder to take the shine away. Was not drying at all. Very breathable with buildable coverage. Absolutely loved it.

I recently tried MAC foundation for the first time, and I am very impressed. It stays on all day, and really controls my oiliness! The shade match I got from a MAC artist is spot on. It looks very natural, glides on smoothly, blends into my skin beautifully and does not cake. I would definitely repurchase!
