First Powder Foundation & Impressed
So I received this product through Top Box. I'm not an influencer and I don't create UGC, so I was thrilled when I received this product for so many reasons. I have sensitive skin, am allergy prone, sweat even when I shouldn't be, pale with freckles, deep rosy cheeks, and... I still haven't *the one...

Buyer beware - it's nothing close to the original
I discovered this powder by fluke during my trip to Ulta yesterday. Was actually going in to try and snag one of the last original formula powders I could before 2.0 came out. Unfortunately, I was too little, too late. Since this was already on the shelves, though, I figured I'd give it a try. ...

Another one bites the dust
Yet another staple product ruined by reformulation. I stg I'm about to just quit wearing makeup altogether because every time I find something I like it either gets discontinued(Desire & Veruschka), the shade name remains the same but the color completely changes(and always to be more orange, SPICE!!!), or it gets the "new and improved" treatment and becomes unusable. Everyone's reformulating everything now and it's sucking the fun out of makeup :( I've used this product for years, not all the time b/c it is pricey, but whenever I could afford it Studio Fix was my jam. I hate liquid foundation and I have weird Schrodinger's skin that's both extremely dry and oily at the same time so powder foundations- and only a few specific ones at that- are the only kind of base that doesn't make my face look like biscuit dough. It's rough out here. But even so, between this and Covergirl's powder foundation when I couldn't afford Studio Fix, I was doing alright! I recently picked up a new SF compact several days ago and... oh no. It looks different... maybe they just changed the packaging? OH NOOOO they changed everything :( Looks like it's CG only for me from now on(until that one gets ruined too, knock on wood) b/c this new formula is TERRIBLE. The old one made my skin look smooth, matte, and natural. Lasted all day and could withstand touchups without caking. I hate the heavy makeup look, all I want to do is even out my skin a bit and mattify it, and the old formula did exactly that. This new formula is too sheer to even anything out, too orange, it looks cakey the second I put it on, and for some diabolical reason they added mica so now I just get shinier the more I powder my face. The best part- I've been wearing the new formula for all of 3 days, and I'm now nursing a fresh breakout as well. When I said I missed being young, a face full of zits at 45 was NOT what I meant! Sigh... I guess I'll at least save money never EVER splurging on this again.
Nothing like the original. Just a money grab
This is so much worse than the original. Going to a differebt brand. It lasts 1/5 as long and get on everything in my bathroom. I have to clean my sink daily. Ita just a money grab to get me to spend 5 times more on the product. Not buying unto it.
never buy again
it doesn't cover the imperfections... it looks like a finishing powder only
100% coverage
This is exactly what I was looking for. It goes on so smooth and it works for my routine.
A Good Enough Replacement
Rihanna discontinued the only powder foundation that's ever worked for my skin (Fenty Beauty's Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Powder Foundation), and this is the closest I've gotten to replacing it yet. Some more about Fenty's powder while I'm here: that stuff lasted forever, actually matched my skintone without shifting too yellow, and genuinely cleared my breakouts rather than causing me to have more. I've never gotten that out of a powder before. So I'm still heartbroken that it's gone. Enter MAC. I wish I could give it 5 stars just to bump it up a little and maybe save it from being discontinued, too, but I can only give it a 4. It doesn't do nearly as much heavy lifting as Fenty's powder did. But the shade I use does match my complexion pretty perfectly, and it doesn't sweat away, go streaky after a few hours of wear, clog up my pores, turn clumpy under other makeup, or cause me to break out, which is more than I can say of every other powder foundation I've tried so far to replace Fenty (and there are, sadly, very few of those on the market to begin with). Fingers crossed that MAC keeps this powder foundation around, because it's the only one I've found that remotely works for me since Fenty's went away.
