sadly I have to take back my previous review. now that I was able to use it a few times I can say for sure: it does smudge. it flakes but it's minimal. I have decent lashes but every time I attempted to apply this it just left so much I would have to clean up on my eyelid and outer corner (never had that issue with other mascaras), and I found the formula was a bit too waxy for my liking. the formula is actually not very layerable. this is a wetter mascara so you basically get one coat; if you apply 2 when it's still wet it either does nothing or clumps. if you wait to apply the 2nd coat after it dries, also basically does nothing because your lashes are already set from the first coat. I wanted to like it but using it is just too much effort and actually upsets me because it is just so messy. so unfortunately it was a return for me. I gave it 2 stars because it does give a nice semi glossy black lash but like I said, too much extra time has to be spent to attempt to make this work.

Better than most mascaras I've tried recently. It is buildable, and flaking is minimal to none. I've been on a search for a non irritating mascara and this also checks that box, no issues at all. There is no fragrance which I love, the brush is nice and soft and doesn't hurt to get close to my lash line (looking at you Ilia 😐), the only issue I have is when applying it's hard for me to not get this on my eyelid/brow bone because I have to press into my lash for the product to deposit on to it, but that's nothing a qtip can't fix. I would repurchase if it goes on sale, and though I really like it, I can't justify spending almost $40 on a mascara in this economy lol

Love this mascara! It gives amazing length but doesn't clump, and doesn't flake off during the day. Wears through long hours and workouts. Doesn't smudge and looks beautiful. Plus, I love that it's a clean brand so I can feel confident in what I'm putting on my face, especially in my eye area!

I absolutely love the Til Midnight Intense Volumizing Mascara! From the first coat, my lashes looked noticeably fuller and more defined without feeling heavy or clumpy.
