Straight out of the bottle, it smells like those comforting incenses and reminds me of this amazing incense my neighbor used to burn when I was young. A wisp of it would escape through their window, and both my sister and I would run to get another whiff from our window! It is warm yet bright at the... same time, and smells very soft and skin-like. I imagine this will smell amazing when applied right out of the shower since it smells so fresh and clean. It feels like the perfect nighttime fragrance: very soft and lovely. I have a moderately sensitive nose, and the projection of this was pretty in line with what it claims. I applied it to my pulse points and could smell it on myself throughout the time I had it on. The scent seems to bloom with body heat, so applying it to the pulse points made me feel like I was surrounded by the fragrance. I think it would be perfect for any season, any time of the year. I wouldn't say the staying power is very high, but I could still smell it on my wrists even after ~5 hours. The scent itself is not very strong and stays fairly close to the skin, but somehow I like that about it. It starts off stronger and slowly dissipates, creating this soft and personal scent bubble rather than disappearing all at once. When I applied it on a different day, the musky note turned slightly dusty the more I smelled it, which was a little off-putting. If you are sensitive to musky scents, this is something you might want to consider, especially since the scent can develop differently depending on the day and your skin. I got the dab-on bottle, and I find it slightly inconvenient to apply. I'm always worried about dispensing too much of the oil or tipping the bottle over by mistake. I really wish it came with a perfume wand or dipstick applicator for easier application. I've heard of people letting it macerate for a while, so I'm interested to see how the fragrance evolves. Overall, I really enjoy how soft, warm, clean, and personal this fragrance feels. It isn't a loud or attention-grabbing scent, but more of a comforting skin scent that you can catch throughout the day. The combination of its freshness, warmth, and subtle musk makes it feel very easy to wear.
