Smells so good!
It smells so sweet, just like grape juice! It's a summery color that looks natural and light, I use it everyday now. When I eat or drink, it stays fairly well. I rarely have to reapply. It's also in such a cute glass bottle!!
Long-lasting, easy to apply, great lip stain
I've been looking for a lip stain I can wear under gloss so that I don't have to constantly reapply, especially for more minimalistic looks. The covergirl lip stain markers don't last and the ELF lip stain marker in the shade that works for me (balletcore) dries out after a single use no matter how it's stored. I was hesitant to try this one because of reviews sayinf it's drying and patchy, as my skin leans dry. I shouldn't have wasted money on the lip stain markers--this isn't any more drying, it lasts, and application is great. It isn't a hydrating product, no lip stain is. But it isn't overly drying. Much less so than the typical matte lip product. As long as you exfoliate any dead/dry patches off your lips prior to application, it's super easy to apply evenly. I find that just applying to the lips, leaving it for 10-20 seconds or so, then blotting leaves a beautiful tint. I can reapply for more pigmentation. You can also blend slightly while it dries, but work fast. Very forgiving/easy to layer, work with, increase opacity. I'm super impressed, I didn't expect such ease of use or quality/longevity. Great product that does exactly what it claims at a reasonable price point.
Unfortunately not for me
I was really looking forward to trying this lip stain. The colors are nice, and there isn't an intense bitter flavor if you happen to lick your lips. However, there is a strong grape fragrance, which was too much for me. The stain also had a tendency to feather and rub off. It might work better on younger lips. Be sure to set it up for success by letting it dry on pulled, unrelaxed lips.
Lasts longer than Benefit!
This lip stain lasts longer than ALL of my Benefit lip stains snd it even stays put after eating and drinking!
Reminds me of jelly
Last summer, I purchased Etude's Dear Darling Water Lip Tint in Strawberry Ade. Yes, it's watery indeed. When you apply it to your lips like lip balm with the balm, it's reminiscent of strawberry jam or jelly. It did tint my lips in a strawberry pink color. Overall, it kept it hydrated and moist all day long.
