 Dear Darling Water Lip Tint

Hard to control, hard to layer. It was the shade I wanted when it was fresh on the lips but just weird, maybe too warm, when it stained. The grape scent was strong. I don't know why people like this? If you want a super lose watery stain?

I love this color on me, and it's way better than most describe. I have very dry often flaky lips. I moisturize and if they're peeling, exfoliate, and this is easy to apply, layer for deeper pigment, and doesn't bleed or anything. And it lasts SO long. The ELF lip stain marker would fade pretty fast, this lasts many hours and if I apply 2 layers evenly to my lips like a liquid lipstick, wait maybe 10-20 seconds, then blot with a tissue and you have a beautiful pink stain (Strawberry ade). The cherry color is very cool red so keep that in mind when choosing the color. I'm light to medium warm leaning olive and strawberry ade suits me beautifully but cherry red looked odd. Notably, it didn't dry out my lips any more than they are usually--I have to use lip masks at night anyway, so if I do that as always I can wear this repeatedly several days in a row without any issues. No issues with patchiness.

I recently bought this after having trouble finding the right purple lip color and I love it! Lasts a long time after drying, scent is not too strong and fades quickly.

It smells so sweet, just like grape juice! It's a summery color that looks natural and light, I use it everyday now. When I eat or drink, it stays fairly well. I rarely have to reapply. It's also in such a cute glass bottle!!

I've been looking for a lip stain I can wear under gloss so that I don't have to constantly reapply, especially for more minimalistic looks. The covergirl lip stain markers don't last and the ELF lip stain marker in the shade that works for me (balletcore) dries out after a single use no matter how it's stored. I was hesitant to try this one because of reviews sayinf it's drying and patchy, as my skin leans dry. I shouldn't have wasted money on the lip stain markers--this isn't any more drying, it lasts, and application is great. It isn't a hydrating product, no lip stain is. But it isn't overly drying. Much less so than the typical matte lip product. As long as you exfoliate any dead/dry patches off your lips prior to application, it's super easy to apply evenly. I find that just applying to the lips, leaving it for 10-20 seconds or so, then blotting leaves a beautiful tint. I can reapply for more pigmentation. You can also blend slightly while it dries, but work fast. Very forgiving/easy to layer, work with, increase opacity. I'm super impressed, I didn't expect such ease of use or quality/longevity. Great product that does exactly what it claims at a reasonable price point.
