I was very excited to try First Milk by The Nue Co. The concept itself was unique to me, and the fact that it was crafted to calm the nervous system was intriguing. The fragrance was supposed to "open with a cool, spicy blend of pink pepper and almond milk, transition to an iris and musk heart, and dry down into warm amber woods, French vanilla, and tonka bean." Unfortunately, I did not experience this progression. The scent itself was terribly overpowering and a bit generic, if I may be so bold as to say. I just feel they missed the mark with this one. I loved the packaging far more than the actual fragrance because they added a clever bit of opaqueness to the bottle, making it look white and creamy to evoke the visual of milk. This was so charming and delightful that it instantly bumped this perfume from a two-star to a three-star product. However, while package design is a huge part of the experience for me, the scent itself has to follow through, and this one unfortunately did not.
Not enough
At first sniff I can to you it is not going to be enough. This is the cutest and perfect sized perfume for travel and let me tell you we travel. First Milk is the best kind of surprise.If I had known this smelled this good, I would've jumped on the bandwagon a long time ago. This scent is giving soft, cozy, creamy perfection. It is actually a perfect comforting scent for the winter months. It is not an in your face kind of scent which I love.
A lovely unisex scent that LASTS!
Where to start with this…it's certainly polarizing! I'm a big fan of gourmand and creamy scents, so going into this I expected something milky sweet. I was surprised to find it leaned more to a musky, soft smoky scent…but I liked it! I usually am not crazy about those kinds, but I find it's very pleasant and draws you in. It's definitely unisex which I appreciate, it's a perfect blend. Most of all I'm pleased with the lasting power, I had people comment on it hours after spraying, it's somehow not overpowering but lingers which is hard to find! So if you're looking for a feminine sweet scent, it's not for you. But if you're open to a cozy, smoked scent you've got it! I received as a part of an educational promotion.
Such a dreamy scent!
I love when a fragrance smells exactly how it's described! What captivated me about the fragrance was the warm and creamy notes. I wanted it as fall/winter scent. It definitely feels like creamy woods! I sprayed my pulse points during the day and continued to get whiffs of it throughout the evening. I'm SO happy with it and love it so much I'm confident I could get this for someone as a gift and they're love it too. Received as part of an educational promotion.
Love it but the atomizer breaks easily for this brand.
