The product works as it says. My hair was left soft and feeling hydrated after a few uses. The smell on the other hand is not anything that resembles fig. It smells more like wet dirt. When I received California Naturals Super Moisture Conditioner for free as part of a BuzzFeed sampling campaign, I was not expecting much because I initially thought it was another drug store conditioner and I tend to gravitate towards expensive name brands like Olaplex, JVN, Oribe and Keratase. I have ruined my hair from previous bleaching, lavender and purple colors, bleach baths and going double processed platinum over the past two years. I gave up trying to fix my broken and damaged hair and dyed it my natural color and stopped using any heat out of fear of the breakage getting worse. I have quite literally tried all kinds of things to restore my hair health but, as you can see in my before photos, I was not very successful. When I picked up the bottle, and started comparing ingredients, I became excited and looking at the thick, creamy yummy smelling texture, I was interested to try it out. Over a week of every other day washes with my regular bonding shampoo and following with the conditioner and just a light blow dry oil on my ends, you can see the results for yourself. The organic formula, high quality oils and the "mixed and poured right in Cali" produced REAL repair staying powered and deeply moisturizing results. The whipped creamy formula instantly felt so nourishing to my hair I even massaged it in my scalp to help with growth and breakage. I thought it would weigh down my hair but the oils are high quality and weightless hairdressing after using heat for the first time in over 5 months on my hair, it is shiny and silky again! Not frazzled and floofy like like before when it was literally straw and I could only brush it wet. I really can't wait to get the matching shampoo and (hopefully!) styling products from California Naturals. More effective than expensive brands and smelled sooo good my hubby thought I put candy in my hair when I came out of the shower, he said "mmm, what's that smell?"! I that I finally found a winner.
