As a busy mom, I don't have time for complicated hair routines, so I was excited to try the Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo. My hair tends to get dry and a little frizzy between washes, especially with how often I'm running around with my baby. After using this shampoo along with the No.5 conditioner, I noticed my hair felt noticeably softer and more manageable right away. It didn't strip my scalp or leave any residue, and a little product goes a long way. The smell is clean and not overpowering, which I appreciate. I received the Olaplex #4 shampoo as part of an educational promotion and am sharing my honest and thorough review of the product. That being said, this shampoo is gentle, has a more subtle scent that's the same as other Olaplex products, and is suitable for use on damaged hair and hair that is in some need of TLC. My hair type is coarse, wavy, and is high porosity (prone to frizziness in humidity). I also style my hair with heat daily with a flat iron and also blow dry my hair on my wash days. Unfortunately, that means I experience damage, breakage, and some brittleness of my hair. I also notice some hair fall out when I wash and style my hair with other shampoos and conditioners. After trying the Olaplex #4 shampoo for several hair washes, I noticed several things. First, I need to use MUCH less product than other brands of shampoo and conditioner. It seems that Olaplex's products are more concentrated, so using less product thankfully means a bottle lasts a lot longer, providing a much better value than other brands. The bottles are easy to hold and dispense the product easily (although the seal was a bit difficult to open). The shampoo lathers well without feeling that my hair is being overly stripped, and my hair feels smooth and sleek when washing out the product. I also noticed an increase in manageability and reduction in breakage after blow drying and heat styling my hair. I'm excited to repurchase once this bottle runs out!

I have 1B/1C hair that has been demi-permanently box dyed at least 10 times in the past six months, and it gets tangled, brittle, and dry with typical drugstore shampoos and conditioners. When I used this for the first time, my hair felt clean without my scalp feeling super dry. Would recommend for people with my same hair type, and for people who wash their hair daily. Even air dried, my hair wasn't frizzy.
I wouid buy this shampoo again.
