I tried this razor for the first time when I was drunk

I was deeply intoxicated after having a rough day and decided to whip this puppy out. I was terrified of it because i've never used a safety razor and some people were complaining of cuts. But man, I didn't have a single nick or cut, and I got the closest shave ever. I just relaxed and let the weigh...

I would not call this a safety razor

I really had high hopes for this razor. I suffer from KP and ingrown hairs and read that is was one of the best razors for that. However upon the first time using it I took several huge chunks out of my legs while barely putting any pressure. It is slippery when wet even with the grip. I asked my mo...

The grip handle that this razor comes with slips off if the razor is wet. Without the grip, the razor is hard to hold on to. I ended up with cuts as a result. (I'm not knew to this style of razor) I really with i could return it.

Cleanest Shave Around

I switched to this razor from the Venus Gillette in an effort to become more eco friendly and shop cruelty free. At first, I wasn't convinced because I often nicked myself due to the weight of the razor. However, once you get past the learning curve it gives you the best, cleanest, closest shave ever! It sealed the deal even further when I went on vacation and used my Venus for travel purposes. The difference was uncanny. I couldn't believe the stubble my old razor left. I will never switch back again!

I have had this razor for almost a year now. I wanted it to work but this is the only Kitsch product I cannot stand behind. Like others have said. The grip is horrible, constantly slipping especially with soapy hands. No matter how slow, the correct angle, pressure, you name it, I'm always getting nicks in my skin. Not worth the money in my honest opinion

I really had high hopes for this razor. I suffer from KP and ingrown hairs and read that is was one of the best razors for that. However upon the first time using it I took several huge chunks out of my legs while barely putting any pressure. It is slippery when wet even with the grip. I asked my mom is I was using it right because she had one similar in the 70s but even she said that it was far to sharp because you cannot adjust the razor length and it stuck out to much. She tried it on her leg and ended up cutting herself too. She told me to throw it away. I think this would be an exceptional razor if you could adjust how far the razor sticks out. Maybe I just have paper skin or something based on all the great reviews but sadly this wasn't for me and it terrifies me.

I'm sure this is a wonderful product, and I know the reason I dislike it is due to user error, but if you're used to using the more common razors that are sold, with multiple blades that are nearly impossible to cut yourself with, be super careful when using this razor. I cut myself so many times in one use that unfortunately I won't be using it again.

Q&A

Showing 6 out of 6 Questions
Q
Can this razor be used for pubic area?
Asked by Mia
Official Answer By KITSCH - Brand Engage
Yes, this is designed as a general body razor and can be used on the bikini/pubic area, legs, underarms, and other body areas. Since it's a single-blade design, it tends to be gentler on sensitive skin than multi-blade cartridge razors, which is part of why it's popular for areas prone to razor burn. For best results in sensitive areas, use the extra-long handle for control, prep the skin with the Kitsch Solid Shave Butter for glide, and go slowly at a 30° angle with short, light strokes, there is no need to press hard for a close shave. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Can this razor be used on face for facial hair
Asked by tee
Official Answer By KITSCH - Brand Engage
Yes, the Kitsch Perfect Glide Safety Razor can be used on the face. As a traditional single-blade safety razor, it works best with very light pressure and a gentle, steady hand, especially on delicate areas. Safety razors do require some practice to master, so take your time to get comfortable with the technique. Always use a shave gel or cream, and avoid shaving over irritated or broken skin for the best results. Was this answer helpful to you
