After shampooing, gently massage Bust Your Brass Mask through wet hair from roots to ends. Leave it on for 3-5 minutes, then rinse. Use it as a weekly intensive treatment in place of conditioner.
Keep track of your tone: if you're loving your tone, keep up your routine as is. if you notice brassiness peeking in, increase use of Bust Your Brass an additional time per week. If you are a little too cool-toned and nearing a violet tone, cut back on the Bust Your Brass routine for a week or two.

Worked so well for my fine hair, i had highlights that were looking a little dull and yellow and this refreshed them and made my hair super soft!! Washed with conditioner, left it in for five minutes and rinsed.
The best purple mask/conditioner on the market!
I have to say I was a little skeptical that this purple mask would actually work like a purple toning shampoo. But, I was pleasantly surprised that it toned my blonde hair and made my hair super soft. I have very long blonde hair and would leave it in for the full five minutes and would only have to use it once every 2 to 3 weeks.

**Pics were taken prior to appt while using Amika purple mask** During a recent hair appt for lightening services, my stylist was horrified by how dry and damaged my hair had become. When I told her everything I was putting in my hair, she said I needed to stop using this product immediately. MY HAIR WAS IN SUCH BAD CONDITION THAT MY HAIRSTYLIST REFUSED TO BLEACH IT and instead made me sit there for the first 30 minutes with a repair treatment saturating my head. LET THIS BE A REMINDER THAT POPULAR/TRENDY PRODUCTS DO NOT WORK FOR EVERY HAIR TYPE!! Especially if you have high porosity or heavily bleached hair. After extensive research and spending my hard earned money, Amika ended up doing more harm than good. Thankfully, my stylist was able to revive my hair after intense conditioning and using only toner. I bought this mask because of the overwhelming number of positive reviews I read online. After first use I was amazed by how bright the bleached parts looked in my hair, but by the 3rd/4th time (using every 2-3 weeks) I couldn't properly style or even brush without breakage. The blonde was popping, so I didn't pay attention to how extremely dry, brittle, and fragile my hair had become.

I've always been a "hair girl" like obsessed but I'm sick of beauty standards & the high cost & toxicity of dye jobs so I'm growing out to my natural gray .
