A subtle glow-up for dark brown hair
I'm so happy with how this turned out. My hair is very dark, and I was a little nervous that Medium Brown wouldn't show up, but it gave my hair the prettiest, rich brown warmth and so much shine. It still looks like my hair, just healthier and softer. My curls also looked really bouncy afterward. Such an easy little at-home refresh; I would absolutely repurchase.

I purchased this during the 21 days of beauty event at 50% off and was thrilled to get a copper gloss that looked to be of higher quality than what I had been using for the same price. I went in with way too much confidence. Never again. I had a funeral to attend and wanted a quick touchup. Unfortunately, the color only deposited on the lower half of my hair. With no time to fix it, I had to rock ombré copper like it was a happy mistake. I assure you it wasn't. I immediately returned both bottles that afternoon. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Have used multiple shades
1. Cool tone seekers beware. 2. Don't over process. Shorter time = salon look; longer time = box dye look. 3. "Blends" gray but doesn't cover. I've used multiple Brown shades and the clear gloss. Over the years they have tweaked the formula so that it's less red toned, But I still wouldn't call any of the colors cool. I find the cool tones deposit as cool-neutral and fade to warm. Neutral shades are warm. Warm shades are VERY warm. The cool medium brown faded to auburn on my brown hair after 2-3 washes. I don't mind, I'm a true neutral so it all works on me, but it's annoying not being able to truly tone out brass, you're really just swapping it for warm tones. I use it to "integrate" my grays, I really like how the gloss over the gray doesn't fully cover the gray but it kind of "matches" it to the rest of my hair. It looks natural but polished. I also don't recommend leaving it more than 20 minutes as it will dull your hair. If you want a richer color, do multiple sessions over a few days or use it consistently once a week. I actually think even 20 minutes is too long on fine or delicate hair if you're trying to keep it looking natural and not like a box dye. Start at 5 min and work up to 15 to find your best timing. I have malessezia yeast on my scalp and this isn't "safe" but also doesn't make it worse. Overall I recommend this product I just wish they'd figure out a way to make truly cool tones.

I've been coloring my hair sort of a strawberry blonde/auburn color, which was my natural hair color, for a long time. I'm tired of coloring and have started to let my natural grey come in but I dont like the texture of my natural hair as mich as the texture of my colored hair.
