Hair Would NOT Curl

No auto shut off feature
it's hard to turn on and off. Required holding down the button just right and then you have to hit the button multiple times to get it to the right temperature setting. It doesnt remember what it was at the last time. Turning it off is the same. If you don't hold the button down long enough, it doesn't turn off. And there's no auto shut-off feature.
Dangerous
The design of this iron is extremely dangerous due to the heavier-than-normal, slick and slippery metal barrel. Every time I use it, I'm afraid it'll slip out of my hand and burn me. It should have had rubber grips added. I've been using curling irons for 40 years and this is the worst I've ever used, and ironically, the most expensive. It's the only iron I haven't been able to hold with one hand. I am forced to put my other hand on the tip and try not to burn myself in the process since it does get quite hot. The button placement on the barrel is also poor. The one thing I do like is the longer barrel since it works better for my long hair. But this one pro doesn't outweigh the serious cons. I'm very disappointed, as I've loved my other Babyliss tools.
Broke after one use
I used this curling iron one time abd nis it will no longer power on.
Great for textured hair
I have long coarse curly hair and this the first curling iron I have used that works great on my natural texture. Normally, I have to flat iron it straight then curl it. This goes from an air dried frizzy mess to perfect curls in one pass.
Wanted to love it, but no
The clamp is too tight, pulls and crimps hair. Also, even on the lowest setting, it gets extremely hot. All the way up to where your finger has to open the clamp I burned myself several times. Tried exchanging, but customer service was not great.

Is this a light weight travel curling iron? Does it come with a heat resistant cover?
