- Brush your natural hair to remove any tangles.
- Select your wire size — try the included sizes to find your fit before you start.
- Create a horizontal part around the crown of your head, about 1–2 inches from your hairline — a tail comb works great here, but any comb will do.
- Gather the top section and secure it with a scrunchie or clip.
- Slide the halo wire along your crown like a headband — your hair will fall naturally beneath it.
- Release the top section and use your fingers or a comb to gently blend your hair over the wire.
- Style as usual — curl, straighten, or leave as-is. Your halo is heat-safe and made to move with you.

I have ordered from this company 3 times. The first time they gave me the purple rattail comb and it helped me tease my hair blend seamlessly. I ordered two more since then and have not recieved that comb again. My issues include, the company is not helpful in finding a good shampoo/conditioner for the halos. And anytime I tried to order it they would cancel. It was supposed to be re-released this past september but it has not been. I tried asking customer service for any other recommendations and I recieved none. In addition, this was my first time buying a halo from ulta instead of sittingpretty directly. I noticed I only recieved 3 different halo wires when previously I recieved up to 7 or so. I usually wear wire 4 or 5 but this halo only had an adjustable, 0,1,2 all of which are giving me a tension headache. I used to love the quality but I am quite disappointed.

The quality seemed really nice, but I wish I had gone with a lighter density and shorter length which is what I originally ordered. The version recommended to me ended up feeling too thick, long, and heavy for my head/hair type, so it didn't feel very natural or comfortable for everyday wear. I also had an issue where one side wouldn't lay flat properly and would kind of stick out from my natural hair. It almost seemed like one of the wire/loop attachment areas wasn't sitting correctly, so blending it seamlessly was difficult. I think this would work much better for someone with thicker hair or who wants a much fuller look.
