NOT dual voltage
Despite that this listing describes the flatiron as having dual viltage for international travel it is NOT dual voltage. Brought it to the UK and it fried instantly. It was a great product until then.

I bought this flat iron for my Mom for her birthday. She really wanted this one. She absolutely loves it! She says she would recommend it to anyone who asks.
She's been trucking but she's not a good straightener
I don't exactly recommend anything from lange considering i also have the curling wand which also isnt great. But ive been using this straightener for about 2 years now and realizing it is not a great tool. When i let people use it on my hair they always ask why it doesn't work well. This was my very first one so i never knew better and sectioned my hair in very small sections. It works but Theres definitely better ones for the price
disappointing for the price
this straightener does not even remotely take 1 pass, it's usually at least 4 and it never straightens the whole piece that you have in it. too hot to hold the tip of the straightener either, which i figured might be the only way to get this thing to straighten the whole piece of hair i had in it but no.
Curved edge for curling doen't live up to claims
As a straightener, it is OK, not the best, but it generally gets the job done. The description also mentions curved edges for curls. This iron didn't even match the curl capability of other high-end flat irons with modest curving that don't even claim to produce curls.

I've had the iron for 2 years and recently it turns off on its own while I'm using it. The OFF letters appear meaning its still getting electricity though. Is it too late for it to be covered by the warranty? and is there any fix to this problem we can think of?

I just purchased this and as soon as I turned it on, it had a sizzling/cracking sound. It had not even touched my hair yet. Is this normal? Some of the Q&A Answers are conflicting from the manufacturer. One says that it's normal for the ion plates and the other says that if you're not sure to return it within warranty. I was reading the reviews on this because I have a l'ange straightener but it's not the digital one, I love it but the plates are damaged which is in turn causing breakage to my hair (just from how long I've had it and regular ware and tear) but I read a lot that this straightener will just stop working without warning, what would be the cause of that and could it be prevented?
