The plates on this flat iron do not close evenly; there's a pinch point at the tip that catches and pulls out a strand of hair on nearly every pass. Literally never buying another flat iron again
*Gifted by CHI in exchange for my honest review* I've had the same old flat iron for the last 15 years, and I never thought about getting a new one despite it snagging on my hair and taking a long time to heat up (things I'm realizing in hindsight after trying this new one out). Then CHI sent me their new Titanium 1" Flat Iron, and I was excited because I've heard great things about the brand. What I didn't expect was how SMOOTH and sleek my hair would be after! My hair is mostly straight, but there are some kinky strands that need a little bit of love that this flat iron fixes instantly when I want it straight. I actually also use it to curl my hair. It heats up quickly and my hair doesn't feel fried after using it despite having bleached and colored it several times. Also, I really love the color of the tool!

I love CHI hair tools - the first flat iron I ever purchased in 2014 was from CHI! This Titanium Flat Iron is incredible. Even though I received this CHI product for free in exchange for my honest review, all opinions are true and my own. I have fine, wavy hair. One thing I always pay attention to when using a hair straightener is whether it leave crimps in my hair - this one does not. I also noticed that my hair stayed smoother than usual. It left a beautiful shine, and I didn't find my hair getting frizzy and wavy throughout the day. The 1 inch straightener is perfect - not too small, and not too big. I really recommend it!
